My fundraising story: I have been fortunate to have spent almost 2 decades advancing diverse and important causes. Working at the Grand Rapids Coalition to End Homelessness, I helped to increase affordable housing and advancing Housing First and Rapid Re-Housing services. During my tenure at Habitat for Humanity of Kent County, I walked alongside first-time homebuyers make their dream of homeownership come true which evolved into serving as Executive Director and leading a $40MM collaborative neighborhood development project with multiple community partners. Serving as Donor Relations Director at Idaho Youth Ranch, I helped raise $30+MM to build the first residential treatment facility in Idaho for young people in need of trauma-informed, behavioral health care.
Why I care about helping nonprofits grow: To live a life in service to others is my north star. I have experienced what is possible when a group of inspired people put their minds together to advance an audacious and meaningful cause. These collaborative, mission-fueled experiences are uplifting, challenging and imperative for the time we are living in today.
