Favorite inspirational quote

“Wherever you are in your journey, I hope you, too, will keep encountering challenges. It is a blessing to be able to survive them, to be able to keep putting one foot in front of the other—to be in a position to make the climb up life’s mountain, knowing that the summit still lies ahead. And every experience is a valuable teacher.”

— Oprah Winfrey

My fundraising story: I have always been passionate about advocacy and fundraising starting from a young age, when I would go door to door trying to raise money for initiatives such as growing funding for families in refugee camps in Kenya. From there I went on to do plenty of volunteer work which allowed me to see the ins and outs of fundraising on a larger scale, it was during my time as a volunteer worker that I realized that nonprofits, fundraising, advocacy, and giving back are truly my life passion.

Why I care about helping nonprofits grow: I am originally from Rwanda where I saw first-hand how much impact nonprofits provide to communities and how nonprofits can help put a community on the right track to then go on to do amazing things. I am passionate about helping nonprofits because I am passionate about helping communities flourish.

Hobbies: reading, Ethiopian food, and creating videos

Unusual talent: I am double jointed in my arms.
