Favorite inspirational quote:

“Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get into good trouble, necessary trouble.”

— Rep. John Lewis

Pronouns: she/her

Area of expertise: Institutional giving, grants writing, budgeting and management, communications, reporting and storytelling, cause marketing, development planning and implementation, major donor cultivation, revenue projection.

Causes I’m most passionate about: Human rights, reproductive and gender justice, youth mentoring, public education, racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights.

My fundraising story: In 2008, I embarked on my first nonprofit role in corporate philanthropy and cause marketing with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, where I was mentored by some of the best minds in our field. Several years later, I moved on to lead development teams at various national, state, and citywide organizations–building and inspiring fundraising departments that continue to raise and cultivate millions of dollars. After earning my master’s degree in social impact in 2021, I began teaching and creating grants-related courses for Temple University’s continuing education team.

Why I care about helping nonprofits grow: Nonprofits are the backbone of our communities. They address and meet basic human needs, reach out to and advocate alongside the most marginalized, build democratic power, and drive economic growth. It is an honor to do this work and support the people and teams advancing their missions.

Hobbies: Momming, vintage shopping, reading, thrifting, crafting, supporting my son’s Philly public school and our vibrant neighborhood.

Unusual talent: I have more than a decade of formal music training in vocals and violin.
