— George Washington Carver
Area of expertise: New business development, corporate partnerships, major gifts, account management, and prospecting
Unusual talent: Award-winning composer, author of works for orchestra, chamber and solo pieces, as well as opera
Hobbies: Running, running, and more running
Causes I’m most passionate about: International relief and human services, the arts, child development
My fundraising story: …began as the Executive Director of several performing arts ensembles. These small shops allowed me to learn the non-profit sector first-hand. After many years in music, I joined the American Red Cross where I built up to 7-figure partnerships with corporations. These new relationships made an enormous difference in the communities that the Red Cross served, particularly during times of disaster.
Why I care about helping nonprofits grow: There is so much that needs to be done! Nonprofits can make an enormous difference by working smarter. Working smarter = deeper impact.
